Fall is such a fun time in Texas as things cool off *a bit* and all the festivals, pumpkin patches, football games, and leaf piles make for the perfect opportunity to have some fun, make some memories and capture those memories in pictures!
Well, I've scoured the web and created this list of options to go have fun this fall if you're in The Woodlands, Conroe, Magnolia, Montgomery, or Willis areas!
1. Visit a new Park!
2. Ride Bicycles
3. Go Hiking! Jones Forest (pictured above) off FM 1488 is easy to access and full of trails to explore. Or Huntsville State Park is just a short drive up Interstate 45!
4. Hit the back yard for a Nerf Gun War
5. Get your hands dirty, and have the kids help with a small fall garden!
6. Take Advantage of the Free Symphony Performances at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion! This year the Hocus Pocus show is on Oct. 17th and there's another Free 50th Anniversary Concert on the 18th, but you have to register ahead of time for ticket access. Check here for details on both of those!
7. Thursdays 5:00-8:00pm are Free at the Children's Museum of Houston. Reserve your tickets here!
8. First Tuesdays are Free at the Houston Zoo! Reserve your tickets and get information HERE!
9. Stroll the Waterway at Dusk when the tree lights come on!
10. Visit a Pumpkin Patch, Church Festival, or Farmer's Market! (May not be completely free, depending on how much self-control you have!) :)
1. P-6 Farms Fall Fest Saturdays and Sundays through November 3rd. Tickets are needed for ages 3+ and are $21.95 each. There are tons of photo opportunities here and this year they are allowing professional photographers to have sessions there! Yay!
2. First United Methodist Church on Rayford Rd. (pictured above and below) will have its annual Pumpkin Patch from September 30th through October 31st! Free, but if you're going to take photos there, I do recommend supporting them and buys a couple of pumpkins! I have pumpkin patch sessions scheduled here on October 19th if you are interested!
3. Fall Festival at St. Ignatius Catholic Church October 5th. See details HERE.
4. Old Time Christmas Tree Farm has it's Pumpkin Patch from Oct. 1- Oct. 31st! Admission for 2+ is $10. Check out more details HERE!
5. Christ Church Methodist on Research Forest Dr. will have its Pumpkin Patch Oct. 14th through Oct. 31st! Details are on their Calendar, Here!
6. The City of Conroe is having a Fall Fun Fest Oct. 19th 11:00am-2:00pm at Carl Barton Jr Park. Details can be found HERE!
7. Hope Community Church in Montgomery is having its Fall Festival on October 19th as well. 11am-7pm Details HERE.
8. The Woodlands Township is hosting a Wildflower Festival Oct. 19th 11:45am to 4:00pm at Northshore Park. (P.S. This is the perfect time to plant Bluebonnet Seeds!!) See details on the event calendar HERE!
9. October 20th there will be a Fall Festival at Shadowbend Park in The Woodlands from 1pm to 4pm. See the Facebook event here!
10. Patterson Elementary in Conroe will be hosting a Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat on the evening of October 25th. See the Facebook event here!
11. Trail of Life Cowboy Church in Conroe is having a Fall Festival on Oct. 27th from 4-6pm. See their Facebook post here for details and address!
12. Magnolia Bible Church is having their Fall Festival from 2-5pm. They have a link on their site to register for it Here.
13. The Light Church in Willis is hosting its Fall Fest on Nov. 3rd from 12-3pm! Click HERE for details!
14. October 17th there will be a Mural Unveiling at The Waterway! Should be a great Photo Op!
15. Creekside Campout at Rob Fleming Park will be Nov. 9th-10th! There is a fee, but this should be so fun! Call 281-516-7348 for questions or to register!
16. October 6th is National Night Out, so check your local neighborhoods community newsletters or groups for that info!
17. Woodland Oaks Church of Christ is hosting a Fall Festival Nov. 2nd from 2-4pm. Here's a link to their Event Calendar.
18. Grace Point Fellowship Baptist Church has their Fall Festival October 31st from 6-8pm for ages Pre-K through 6th Grade. You can find details HERE.

20. W.G. Jones State Forest is hosting its Centennial Celebration on October 19th from 9am to 2pm, with guided hikes, other activities, food and games! Check out details HERE.
